An open-air museum. Nine permanent works, six exteriors and three interiors, take place at the Château.
Every year, the Musée d’art contemporain de la Haute-Vienne – château de Rochechouart expands its collection thanks to donations and acquisitions. In around thirty years, the museum has built up a first-rate collection of contemporary art, now comprising more than 1,300 works. Discover the different acquisitions over the years as well as the diversity of the works.
In connection with the installation of the museum in the Château de Rochechouart, three fundamental themes prevailed in the composition of this collection: history, landscape and imagination. Over the years, the museum has built up a remarkable collection which today includes more than 1,300 works by international artists.
