Visits

Unguided visits

Visit information leaflets are available at the museum’s reception desk to help visitors get the most out of the castle, collections and current exhibitions. Throughout the museum you will find detailed information panels, documentation files and our museum staff to provide any further details you require on the exhibited artists and works.

Guided

The mediators make visits all year round by reservation for groups, whether associations or works councils.

The proposed visits focus on the castle through its history and architecture and the discovery of contemporary art through exhibitions and in situ works.

Two types of guided visit are available.

Contemporary art exhibition visit

≈ 1h45

Accompanied by a guide, groups will explore current exhibitions, combining works from the museum’s collection and from the Raoul Hausmann Resource Library as well as monographic exhibitions by international artists.

Historical visit

≈ 1h15

The historical visits provides you with an overview of the architectural heritage of the various eras through which the castle has evolved. The visit includes two rooms with Renaissance frescoes from the 16th century.

The timings and contents of these guided visits have been developed in a modular way and are determined with guides, depending on how much time is available. The historical and contemporary visits can be linked together. Visits take place in French or English.
