À l’occasion des Journées européennes du patrimoine, les samedi 19 et dimanche 20 septembre 2026, le Musée d’art contemporain de la Haute-Vienne – château de Rochechouart vous propose un programme de visites et d’activités pour découvrir autrement le château, son histoire et ses collections.

To mark European Heritage Days, on Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 September 2026, the Musée d’art contemporain de la Haute-Vienne – château de Rochechouart is offering a programme of tours and activities to help you discover the castle, its history and its collections in a new light.

This summer, the Haute-Vienne Museum of Contemporary Art – Château de Rochechouart invites the public to discover the exhibition *Le musée en mouvement autrement*. Children, families, teenagers and adults will be able to take part in a programme of guided tours and workshops combining observation, experimentation and creative activities. Drawing, visual illusions, writing and animated storytelling: there are so many ways to explore the artworks whilst giving free rein to one’s imagination.

To celebrate European Museum Night, the Haute-Vienne Museum of Contemporary Art – Château de Rochechouart will be open to the public free of charge from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

On Thursday, May 7, 2026, at 8:00 p.m., the outdoor theater performance scheduled at the Haute-Vienne Museum of Contemporary Art – Château de Rochechouart has been canceled for reasons beyond our control.

On 3 May 2026, the museum will be open free of charge as part of the “Free Sundays” initiative.

Visitors will be free to explore the museum and the current exhibition, The museum in motion.

From 28 March to 12 April 2026, throughout the fortnight-long cultural festival, the Haute-Vienne Museum of Contemporary Art – Château de Rochechouart is open free of charge!
