Exposition Fais que ton reve soit plus long que la nuit
Visiteur au Château de Rochechouart

Visits

Unguided

Visit information leaflets are available at the museum’s reception desk to help visitors get the most out of the castle, collections and historical rooms. Throughout the museum you will find detailed information panels, documentation files and our museum staff to provide any further details you require on the exhibited artists and works.

Guided

The mediators conduct visits all year round by reservation for groups.

The proposed visits focus on the castle through its history and architecture and the discovery of contemporary art through exhibitions and in situ works.

The times and programs of the visits are flexible and determined with the guides according to the availability of the groups. The visits are conducted in French or English.

Reservations

Reservations are obligatory for all guided and unaccompanied group visits by contacting contact.musee-public@haute-vienne.fr

Family

During the school holidays, children can discover the exhibitions thanks to a children’s booklet intended for 6 to 12 year olds to do in the fall or as a family. The workshop space is open and offers activities and materials available to everyone.

ZIGZAG in the castle

ZIGZAG offers children aged 6 to 12 a visit in the form of treasure hunts, around architecture, history and works.

To do it yourself, ZIGZAG invites the child to take an independent and active stroll through works and eras via a set of games and puzzles.

This tool is based on the direction of visit of the museum, it thus develops from the ground floor, to the south terrace, to the floors and historic rooms of the frescoes up to the framework, and ends with a game in the courtyard of the castle.
