Murmurations

Artist(s) Pélagie Gbaguidi

For her first museum exhibition in France, the artist has brought together a range of recent pictorial and graphic works, as well as several new productions. Under the title “Murmurations”, the exhibition takes us on an organic and poetic journey where the sublime cohabits tirelessly with the cruelty of the world.

Pélagie Gbaguidi’s work has recently been included in major international exhibitions such as the Berlin Biennale in 2020, documenta 14 in Kassel in 2017, the Lubumbashi Biennale in 2019 and several editions of the Dakar Biennale (2004, 2006, 2008, 2014 and 2018).

The exhibition is made possible thanks to the support of Zeno X gallery (Belgium), Kanal Pompidou (Belgium), the TRAMé(e)S research program – project director Marion Duquerroy, researchers involved in the projet Nathalie Le Luel, Jehanne Roul, Pauline Boivineau, Guy Jarousseau, Anne-Zoé Rillon-Marne, project manager Thomas Fort (UCO Anger, France), Alain and Hilde Verleysen-Rigoir (Belgium) and Rudy Joseph (Belgium).

Pélagie Gbaguidi is represented by Fortès d’Aloia & Gabriel (Brazil) and Goodman Gallery (South Africa).
